Manual Handling

This Manual Handling Training Course is essential for employees in any sector who perform manual handling tasks as part of their role. The course is designed in compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, Chapter 4 of Part 2, which requires employers to provide adequate training to staff engaged in manual handling activities. The course equips participants with the knowledge and skills to carry out such tasks safely and reduce the risk of injury in the workplace.

  • Introduction to Manual Handling and its Importance
  • Overview of Legislation: Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and related regulations
  • The Musculoskeletal System: anatomy, posture, and injury risks
  • Ergonomics and Risk Assessment
  • Principles of Safe Lifting
  • Practical Demonstration and Participant Practice (in-person sessions)
